Filters and product suggestions

Filters on collection pages, and the products suggested in the cart, come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app.

Manifest shows filters and suggestions; Shopify decides what's in them. Both are set up in the free Search & Discovery app, made by Shopify.

Without the appSorting onlyCollections still sort by price, name and date. Cart suggestions use Shopify's own recommendations, or only products you pick.
With the appFilters and your own suggestionsFilters by price, availability, type, vendor and options, and products you pick to suggest with each product.

Add filters

  1. Install Search & Discovery from the Shopify App Store (search for it in Apps).
  2. In the app, open Filters and add the ones you want, such as Availability, Price, Product type and your product options such as Size or Color.
  3. Save. They appear under Show filters on every collection and search page. Color options show as swatches.

Choose suggested products

  1. In the app, open Product recommendations, then Complementary products.
  2. Pick a product and add the products that go with it.
  3. In the theme editor, Cart drawer, turn on Show product suggestions and leave Products to suggest on Shopify's recommendations. The cart now suggests your picks first.
TipThe Buy both block and the Related products section use the same recommendations.
