Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use doTask: the people running a business on it, and their customers using the chat widget, booking pages and forms.
What we aim for
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on this website, the dashboard at app.dotask.io, the chat widget, the hosted booking pages and the client forms. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim to meet it in full.
What is in place
- Pages work at phone width, and buttons and inputs on the dashboard are at least 40 pixels tall.
- Text can be zoomed by the browser without losing content; there is no fixed-width layout on the public pages.
- The main forms (sign-in, booking, client forms) have visible labels, and their errors are written in words.
- The site and the dashboard do not rely on colour alone for status: badges carry a word as well.
- Animation stays small, and we reduce it when your device asks for reduced motion.
Gaps we know about
- Charts in the dashboard's reports show figures as pictures; the same figures are in the tables beside them, but not every chart has a text summary.
- Some older dashboard screens have not been checked with a screen reader end to end.
- PDF invoices and receipts are generated documents and are not yet tagged for screen readers.
- The chat widget is used inside each business's own website, so how it works with their page depends partly on that page.
Tell us
If something in doTask is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, zoom or any other tool, write to [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject. We reply within two working days and tell you when it is fixed.
