Uptime commitment
What we promise about doTask being available, how we measure it, and what you get if we fall short. It applies to paid plans and forms part of the Terms of Use.
The commitment
doTask aims to be available 99.5% of each calendar month (about 3 hours 39 minutes of unplanned downtime at most). That covers the dashboard at app.dotask.io, and the messaging service: the website chat widget, receiving and sending messages on the channels you connect, and the hosted booking pages.
How it is measured
Our monitor checks each of these every five minutes and shows the results on the status page. A service is down when two checks in a row fail. A month's uptime is the share of its minutes the service was not down, leaving out the exclusions below.
What is not counted
- Scheduled maintenance we announce at least 48 hours ahead, at most 4 hours a month.
- Outages of platforms doTask depends on and does not run: WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger (Meta), Shopify, Stripe, Google, Amazon email delivery, and the AI model provider.
- Problems caused by your own website, domain, settings or connected accounts, or by a suspension under the Terms of Use.
- Free and trial plans.
Service credits
If a month falls below the commitment on a paid plan, you can ask for a credit on that month's subscription fee:
| Monthly uptime | Credit |
|---|---|
| Below 99.5% | 10% |
| Below 99.0% | 25% |
| Below 95.0% | 50% |
Ask within 30 days of the month's end by writing to [email protected]. The credit goes on your next invoice; it is not paid out in cash, it does not cover add-ons or usage such as email sending, and a month's credits are at most 50% of that month's fee. Credits are the only remedy for downtime.
