Instagram
  1. Settings → Instagram → Connect. Sign in with the Instagram professional (business or creator) account.
  2. Allow the permissions Meta asks for. Direct messages then arrive in the inbox and replies go back as DMs.
  3. A reply sent from the Instagram app on your phone is recorded and counts as a takeover.

Once connected the page shows the account, and four checks: whether Meta delivers its DMs to doTask (Check again asks Meta and re-subscribes), the access token (it refreshes itself while the account is in use; Reconnect if it ever expires), the last customer message (Send a test DM opens the account in Instagram from another device), and failed sends in the last seven days. You can reply for 24 hours after the customer’s last message; after that the conversation waits for them to write again. An account that was connected to another workspace moves to the one whose owner authorizes it; the earlier conversations stay where they were. Disconnect pauses the channel and forgets the token; conversations stay.
