The booking flow

The steps customers go through, what each asks, and how the booking page looks.

Bookings

Bookings → Settings → Booking flow shows the whole journey in order: choose a service, choose who, pick a time, give details, pay, and the confirmation. Beside it is the real booking page with your changes, on a computer or a phone width, with sample times so it works before online booking is on. Nothing done in the preview is booked.

What you can change

  • Whether customers choose who serves them. Off, that step is skipped and the first free one is given.
  • Phone: required, optional or not asked. Name and email are always asked; questions for one service are set on that service.
  • The “Anything else?” box, and a tick box customers must tick to agree to your booking policy.
  • A button on the confirmation, such as Back to shop, with its link.
  • The look: accent color (the chat widget’s unless you pick one), background, corners, a clean or classic font, services as a list or as cards with photos, whether prices and lengths show, and your own logo and cover image.
  • The date and time step: a month calendar with the free days marked (the default) or a row of days; times as a column, where the chosen time opens a Next button beside it, or as a grid grouped by morning, afternoon and evening; a 24-hour or 12-hour clock; and gentle animations on or off (they are always off for someone whose device asks for less motion).
  • The words: the headings of each step and the confirm button.

Press Save and customers see it on their next visit. The same flow runs in the chat widget’s Book tab and behind the Book button on Shopify product pages, and the rules (a required phone, the policy tick) are checked when the booking is made, not only on the page.

TipThe page title, introduction, policy and confirmation message are written under Bookings → Settings.
