Sign-up forms
A popup, corner card, bar or full-screen form on your site that collects emails, designed with your photo, colors and font; a coupon, a teaser, exit-intent and scroll triggers.

EmailRecommended sign-up forms (top of Email → Sign-up forms; owners and admins): Welcome offer when your welcome offer is on and no form is live yet, and Before you go (exit intent) until you have one. Use this form opens the editor on that template; nothing goes live until you press Go live. The X hides a card for you.
A sign-up form is shown by the chat widget on your own site, so it needs the widget installed (or the Shopify app). Four layouts: a popup in the middle of the page, a card that slides into a corner (a sheet from the bottom on phones), a bar along the top or bottom with the email field in it, or the full screen. It asks for an email, and a name or phone if you tick them; after sign-up it shows your thank-you and, if you set one, a coupon code with a copy button.
- Email → Sign-up forms → New: the templates are drawn as they will look — welcome offer, full-bleed photo, dark editorial, color block, before you go, newsletter card, top bar, full screen — or Blank.
- Content: a small line above the headline, the headline and text, the button, the fields, a “No thanks” link and the consent line. Design: layout and size; the picture (upload, paste an address, or try a sample) and where it sits — left, right, on top, or behind the words with a darkening slider; panel and text colors, button and button-text colors; sans, serif or mono; headline size; left or centered; square, rounded or pill corners; filled or outline button; outlined, filled or underlined fields; how dark the page goes behind a popup; and whether the side picture stays on phones. The preview is the widget’s own drawing, at desktop and phone width, before and after sign-up — and it is where you edit: type straight on the headline, the text, the button, the links; click the picture, a field, the button or the panel and a small inspector offers what fits that part (the tabs on the right hold the same settings in one place).
- Choose when it opens: after a few seconds, on exit intent (the pointer heading for the browser bar; on phones, after the delay instead), or once the page is scrolled part-way. Pages, how often, who, and dates work as for banners.
- Save draft creates it; from then on the draft saves itself as you edit (“Saved just now” at the top). Go live when it is ready. A live form is what visitors see, so its changes wait for Save changes. Results on the form’s page: shown, signed up, closed.
- Every sign-up is a subscriber under Customers → Subscribers with the source “form: <name>”; if Newsletters → Settings has double opt-in on, they get the confirmation email first.
- The teaser tab appears after the form is closed and reopens it; leave it empty for none. A person who signed up never sees the form again.
- One form per page: when several match, the first live one shows. Surveys and banners still show alongside.
- A welcome-series automation that starts on “someone subscribes” picks these sign-ups up on its own.
