Every workspace starts on the Free plan: everything switched on, in small amounts. Settings → Plan and billing shows the plan, the email add-on if bought, when it renews and whether it is billed monthly or annually, and what it includes: team seats, AI Agent conversations a month, staff calendars, active flows, contacts and emails a month. “Manage billing” opens Stripe’s portal to change the plan or the add-on, update the card, download invoices or cancel.

Choose a plan

  1. Plan and billing → Choose a plan (Change plan once you have one) opens the plans over the page. The upgrade prompts around the app open it too: “See plans” when a cap is reached, on the bookings checklist and on the AI cap notice.
  2. Monthly or Annual: the switch shows when the plans are sold yearly as well. Annual shows the price as a month with what it saves; it is paid once a year.
  3. Each card shows the price for the whole workspace (doTask is priced per workspace, not per seat), what the plan adds over the one before, and its button: Start 14-day trial on a first monthly subscription (yearly billing has no trial), Choose to start or change, Current plan on the one you are on (“In your trial” while the trial runs).
  4. Below the cards: the Free plan, the email marketing add-on for a bigger list, and Compare all features, section by section, with each plan’s limits and a check where a feature is on that plan.
  5. Talk to us opens a WhatsApp chat with doTask; the contact form is beside it. Custom, managed for you with an onboarding manager, is quoted after a call rather than bought online.

Starting a plan goes to Stripe Checkout. A first monthly subscription has 14 days free; yearly billing is charged straight away. The card is taken up front, so a trial that lapses simply stops. With a plan already on, changing it, its billing period or going back to Free is done in Stripe’s portal. On annual billing the email add-on can only be added where it is sold yearly too: Stripe bills everything on one subscription at the same interval, so otherwise choose monthly to add it. A banner above the cards shows a new-customer offer only when doTask has one running, with the code to type at checkout.

Only the owner changes the plan. Anyone else on the team can open Choose a plan and compare, with a note to ask the owner.

Installed from the Shopify App Store: plans are bought on Shopify instead, in US dollars. The same Choose a plan shows Shopify’s prices, and its buttons open Shopify’s plan page for doTask on your store; the charge goes on your Shopify invoice, with no card to enter here, and the plan shows on this page once Shopify confirms it — usually at once, otherwise Refresh reads it again. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the current cycle; uninstalling the app ends the plan.

At a cap: inviting past the seats, adding a staff calendar or switching on a flow past theirs is refused with the reason and a See plans button; a newsletter over the contact cap or the month’s email cap will not send; past the AI cap new conversations go to a person and the customer is told. From 80% of the month’s AI Agent conversations a notice on the AI Agent page and on Usage says so. Plans that send from your own domain need one verified under Settings → Email. The Free plan shows “Powered by doTask” on the widget and in emails; paid plans do not.
