Inbox

Inbox → YouTube comments lists every comment thread on your channel’s videos: the first comment and its replies are one conversation. It opens on Need a reply, the threads whose last word is a viewer’s; All shows every thread and Done the ones you marked done.

Open a thread to read it and answer. Suggest a reply drafts one in your AI Agent’s voice, from what your knowledge says; read it, change it, then press Reply. The reply goes up under the comment on YouTube as your channel, for everyone to see. Nothing is ever posted without a person pressing Reply. Mark done is for a thread you answered elsewhere or that needs no answer; a new comment from someone else brings it back.

New comments arrive within about a quarter of an hour; Refresh reads them now. YouTube gives every app a daily allowance, so with many channels connected comments may take a little longer. Comments held for review on YouTube, and replies on videos where replies are turned off, do not appear or cannot be answered here.

To start, an owner or admin turns on Comments in Inbox for the channel under Social → Accounts, and allows it on Google’s screen. doTask keeps only what this page shows (names, words and dates of the comments, and the video’s title) and reads it again from YouTube within 30 days, or deletes it; a comment removed on YouTube goes from here too. Turning comments off, or disconnecting the channel, deletes them all at once.
